GoMix at Billboard/Adweek’s Music and Advertising Conference in Chicago, Sep 2010

As you know from our front page, late summer 2010 will see GoMix relaunch with a new product, eclipsing anything we’ve done before.

In the spirit of being back on the industry radar (rather than buried in label contracts and hand sketched interface designs) GoMix founder Olly Barnes will be a guest speaker at Billboard & Adweek’s Music and Advertising Conference in Chicago, Sep 2010

He’ll be sharing insights on GoMix’s past advertising campaigns with leading global brands such as Burger King, Vodafone, Dr Pepper, Lionsgate Movies and others, and outlining how GoMix’s forthcoming social gaming inspired ecosystem will provide an even more targeted and engaging music & brands platform.

GoMix has just returned from Midem 2010 in Cannes, where the company founder and CEO, Olly Barnes, was invited to speak on 3 consecutive days to conference goers to set out GoMix’s vision for the future.

GoMix.com actually looks like a website now, and new bands coming!

Ok, so we’re finally making GoMix.com into a proper site.

Apologies- its been a state for a while- but all our focus has been on our NEW Facebook Application and our already rather popular MySpace Application

But, a lot of things are changing for GoMix in 2010, and we really need a proper site.

First thing you’ll notice is our product is actually on our own website. Novel thinking you’ll agree. Now literally all you need to do is click ‘Remix’ on the navigation, or push ALL your friends, enemies, relatives and anyone in between to THIS page

Reasons for doing so? Well, the fact that we’re about to start adding a LOT of new songs. It’s not been slack behind the scenes here, we’re soon to unveil some new deals that’ll keep you remixing until your friends just give up on seeing you ever again.

First up will be Breathe Carolina. Anyone that spent hours searching for the genetic Hyrbid of Metro Station and Idiot Pilot can now breathe (geddit?) a sigh of relief.

2010 is shaping up to be a very exciting year for GoMix, watch out for imminent news on new deals.

Placebo, Daybreakers Movie, GoMix and Facebook

We are proud to announce GoMix’s involvement in promoting the new Lionsgate movie ‘Daybreakers’, starring Ethan Hawke, Willem Dafoe, and Sam Neill.

This is the first time GoMix, or any other interactive music platform, has been involved with a film marketing campaign, and also marks the launch of GoMix on Facebook.

Hi all,

Months of behind the scenes work starting to come to the forefront- and we’re now live on Facebook!

This is the first of a large number of significant GoMix evolutions due over the next few weeks/months.

Its also the first real move in which GoMix is becoming ‘Social’. We won’t dwell too much on that right now, since we’re going to be unveiling something directly related to this very soon…

2010 is set to be the year interactive music really arrives, and GoMix is leading the charge.

New GoMix Player & Widget

Hi GoMix fans.

Thanks for all you support over the last few months. Congratulations to all our competition winners, and thanks to all of you who entered.

To reward all of you we’ve been hard at work making changes to the player and the widget.

Here’s a run down of what’s changed:

Player:
- Use the zoom in/out function to get more detail and clarity in the player.
- Browse songs and mixes easier with the new player layout.

Widget:
- Brand new ranking system! Now your plays mean something. Climb the rankings by getting your mixes played.
- New clean layout. Get mixing faster.

Keep an eye out for more updates, more songs, more competitions and generally more GoMix love.
